  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cheese, and taco seasoning.
  2. Place a portion of the filling in the center of each tortilla.
  3. Roll the tortilla tightly, tucking in the ends.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the chimichangas until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve with salsa and sour cream.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, bake the chimichangas instead of frying.
