Chocolate Tiramisu

A rich and creamy chocolate tiramisu that brings a decadent twist to the traditional Italian dessert.

  • 6 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brewed espresso
  • 3 tablespoons coffee liqueur
  • 1 cup chocolate wafers
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the brewed espresso and coffee liqueur.
  4. Dip the chocolate wafers quickly into the espresso mixture and layer them in a dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the wafers.
  6. Add another layer of dipped wafers and finish with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent dessert, add chocolate shavings on top before serving.
  • This recipe can be made a day in advance for better flavor fusion.
