Ingredients

  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet, tossing to coat with the garlic oil.
  5. Add the parsley and season with salt. Toss well.
  6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
