Cottage Cheese Lasagna: Easy and Healthy Twist on a Classic

Cottage Cheese Lasagna

A delicious and healthier alternative to traditional lasagna using cottage cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cottage cheese
  • 9 sheets lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Layer 3 lasagna noodles, half the cottage cheese mixture, and one-third of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and the remaining sauce and mozzarella on top.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
