  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour and stir until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Add eggs one at a time; mix until smooth.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool completely before filling with cream.
  9. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  10. Fill cooled puffs with cream and dust with additional powdered sugar if desired.
