Easy Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and milk, allowing it to soak for about 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Mix the egg mixture into the bread mixture until well combined.
  5. If using, fold in the raisins.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set and golden brown on top.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with a drizzle of cream or a scoop of ice cream.
