Ingredients

  • 6 cups brioche bread, cubed
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Add in the cubed brioche bread and gently mix until the bread is completely soaked.
  4. If using, fold in the raisins.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
