Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Do not overmix.

  6. Pour the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
