  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 2 teaspoons eggnog spice blend
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powder sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, and rum extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and blend well.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Make a thumbprint in each cookie and fill with eggnog spice blend.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Let cool and coat with powdered sugar.
