Hearty Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A comforting casserole combining pierogi and kielbasa, perfect for cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pierogi
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the sauerkraut in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Place half of the pierogi on top of the sauerkraut.
  3. Add half of the kielbasa and half of the onion.
  4. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  5. Pour the chicken broth over the top.
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogi are tender.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese in the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Notes

  • This dish can be garnished with fresh parsley.
  • For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes.
