- 1 cup lentils
 
- 4 slices turkey bacon
 
- 1 onion, chopped
 
- 2 carrots, chopped
 
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
 
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
 
- 6 cups vegetable broth
 
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
 
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
 
- Salt to taste
