  • 9 lasagna noodles uncooked
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and lay flat.
  3. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer three noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the cottage cheese mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles, sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
