  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and add sliced onions. Cook until caramelized.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and garlic powder to create the secret sauce.
  3. Form the ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook in the skillet until browned and cooked through.
  4. On a slice of rye bread, spread the secret sauce, add a cooked patty, top with onions and a slice of Swiss cheese.
