  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and lemon juice.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Let cool completely before glazing.
  10. Mix confectioners’ sugar and milk to create the white glaze.
  11. Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate and the other half into the white glaze.

Notes

  • Cookies are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored for up to a week.
  • For a fun twist, add sprinkles on top of the chocolate glaze.
