  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Spoon a portion of the muffin batter into each muffin cup, followed by a dollop of the cream cheese mixture, then top with more muffin batter and swirl gently.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
