  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • For a sweeter cookie, increase the sugar by 1/4 cup.
