- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh fruit (e.g., berries, banana)
- 1/4 cup nuts or seeds (e.g., almonds, chia seeds)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Rinse the quinoa under cold water.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the quinoa, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the quinoa with a fork and stir in the olive oil.
