  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Scoop out dough and make an indentation in the center.
  7. Add a spoonful of cream cheese and caramel sauce to the indentation.
  8. Seal the dough around the filling and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are set.
  10. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sea salt.
