Strawberry Cake

A delicious and moist strawberry cake that is perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  6. Fold in the diced strawberries.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a little almond extract.
  • Decorate with whipped cream and fresh strawberries on top.
