  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for strawberries)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to desired thickness and cut out rounds.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While the shortcakes bake, mix the strawberries with sugar and let sit.
