Stuffed Italian Bread Boat – Cheesy, Hearty & Bursting with Flavor!

  • 1 large Italian bread loaf
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked Italian sausage
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise and hollow out the insides.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, sausage, bell peppers, onions, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Scoop the filling into the hollowed-out bread halves.
  5. Place the filled bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • Experiment with different cheese varieties for unique tastes.
