  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  2. Fold in the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer them in a dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, allow the tiramisu to sit overnight before serving.
  • Experiment with different liqueurs for varying taste.
